A moderate earthquake struck Aquitello in San Diego early on Thursday, and was somewhat felt by residents of Victorville in San Bernardino.
Where the earthquake struck at 5:48 am, it was initially reported as a 4.1 Richter earthquake. It was subsequently reduced to 3.9, according to the US Geological Survey.
The epicenter of the quake is 12 miles southeast of Okutilu Wells, about 20 miles south of the Salton Sea and 64 miles southeast of Palm Springs. They may also have felt the quake along the coast, in Mission Viejo and in front of Long Beach.
No injuries or damage were reported.
